“Balancing independence with interdependence”
The student life in campus addresses the “whole person” approach – which includes feelings, emotions, competencies, attitudes, and spirit. Essential human competencies, such as self-confidence and self-reliance, emotional balance have a large bearing on the success of an individual. Behavioral scientists advocate that individuals can achieve complete emotional balance only through “community living” during the growth years. Innocent expressions of parental love beyond a certain age keep children trapped in a child-like dependency, possibly making them self-centered.
